The Process

Our Interlock installation begins by coming up design for your home or your business. For simpler projects, this can be determined during the initial consultation. For projects that are more complex, we advise our customers to consult a landscape designer. Once we have a set design, we can request a utility locate to ensure that there are no utility lines in the excavation area. The first step once our crew is on-site is to excavate the area that needs to be paved. Based on soil conditions and the load being applied to the area, our team can determine the appropriate excavation dept. The next step is to install base rock. The type of base rock being used will be determined by the site drainage and the load being applied. Our installation practices include both open-grade and dense-grade installs. The last step of the process is to install the pavers and polymeric sand. The exact details of our installation process can be found under the interlock page under service. Our installation process can take as little as one day all the way up to several months depending on the size and complexity of the project.

Tips for Driveway and Patio Interlocking in Toronto
-For older homes go for a more classic stone like the Unilock Courtstone, Copthorne, Richcliff, or Town Hall
-For newer homes go for a modern stone like the Unilock Windmere, Beacon Hill, or Promenade Paver
-Don't have more than 3 different types of textures connected together (i.e. asphalt driveway with a broom finish concrete extension connecting to an interlock walkway made of smooth and textured interlocking)
- Do not add round corners if they reduce the functionality of your interlock driveway or patio
